KoolShade

All glazing must be protected from the sun. Working completely differently than traditional exterior and interior shades, Koolshade® neutralizes solar heat gain and glare before it even reaches the window, but does not block outward vision or light. natural daylight and nor natural ventilation.
This product is a sun visor consisting of a weaving of bronze micro-slats. As the Koolshade blocks solar energy outside the building without obstructing light , it limits the consumption of electric lighting and air conditioning units.

How does it work:

Each slat has a height of 1.2 mm and a thickness of 0.13 mm, they are inclined 17° to the horizontal. By stopping 86% of heat rays, the Koolshade saves air conditioning costs.

Manufacturing
The KoolShade – micro-blades in bronze – is manufactured on a loom and made up of blades 1.27 mm wide and 0.18 mm thick – Assembled in vertical wires and inclined at 17 degrees. It is inserted in laminated glazing on two extra clear sides (PVB or Evasafe film).

This is the manufacturing process of KoolGlass which can also be mounted in double glazing.
